Welcome to Year 2!

Your child's teaching team this year is Mrs Lee, Mrs Ghorbanian and Ms Khan.
School opening times
The doors to school are open from 8:45am and will close at 9am, collection time for children in Year 2 is 3:20pm from the Year 2 classroom door on the quad.
Breakfast club begins at 7:30am and after-school club ends at 6:00pm. Please let the office know if you would like your child to attend after-school club.
PE
Our PE days this year are Thursday and Friday.
PE kits should include an Ash Grove T-shirt or plain white T-shirt with black, navy blue or dark grey shorts/jogging bottoms and a pair of trainers. It is also useful to pack a plain hoodie/jumper for colder weather.
It is important that children have the correct PE kit and it is kept in school.
Snack
Children are welcome to bring a snack from home each day. This will need to be an appropriate, healthy snack that will provide your child with the energy to get them through to lunch. Free fruit is available most days. Please note we are a nut free school.
Our Learning
We want to ensure that your child reaches their full potential - emotionally, socially and academically - and we feel that this is best achieved when we work alongside parents and carers. Homework
Children in Year 2 will have homework each week, it will be sent home on Tuesday and returned the following Monday.
Collins Hub eBooks: Please try and read daily with your child, this will build their fluency and confidence.
