Ash Grove School Uniform

Our compulsory uniform consists of:

  • V-neck navy sweatshirt or cardigan (Ash Grove badged items are not compulsory)
  • White shirt (polo shirt in Summer Term)
  • Tie – traditional or elastic 
  • Smart black trousers or shorts or knee-length black skirt 
  • Navy checked kilt (optional)
  • A blue/white checked dress may be worn in the Summer Term
  • Plain black school shoes (Trainer type are permissible as long as they are plain black including soles)
  • Plain black, white or navy socks or tights

PE uniform consists of:

  • Plain white T-shirt or light blue sports top
  • Plain black or navy blue shorts
  • Plain black or navy blue tracksuit bottoms
  • Plain trainers

Please ensure that every item is clearly labelled with your child’s name.

For health and safety reasons, children should not wear jewellery other than what is stated below; temporary tattoos and nail polish are not part of the school uniform.

Jewellery  

The school rules on jewellery are as follows:

  • One pair of stud earrings may be worn – no other piercings are permitted.
  • A smart and sensible wristwatch may be worn – no Smart watches.
  • No necklaces, rings or bracelets.

Uniform Assistance

We understand that purchasing school uniform can sometimes be challenging. To support families, we keep a supply of good-quality second-hand uniform items in the school office, which are available free of charge upon request.

If your child is unable to wear the correct uniform, please get in touch with the school so that we can discuss how we can help. 

We also welcome donations of clean, good-condition uniform items that children have outgrown or no longer need. These donations help us continue to support other families within our school community.

For the Year 6 blazers, school donate £15 towards the cost of the blazer, paid to Classworx.
