Welcome to Year 2!

Your child's class teacher is Mrs. Brewin. She will be supported throughout the week by an amazing team, including Miss Parrin and Mrs Potts.
School opening times
The doors to school are open from 8:45am and collection time for children in Year 2 is 3:20pm from the main entrance doors. Breakfast club begins at 7:30am and after school club ends at 6:00pm. Please let the office know if you would like your child to attend after school club.
PE
This half-term (Autumn 1) our PE days are; Monday with Mrs. Brewin and Thursday with Jordan. Please make sure PE kits are in school every day. We will ensure they are sent home if they become dirty or at the end of half-term. PE kits should include an Ash Grove T-shirt or plain white T-shirt with black, navy blue or dark grey shorts/jogging bottoms and a pair of trainers. It is also useful to pack a plain hoodie/jumper for colder weather. PE kit is a very important, key bit of equipment and takes into account the safety of your child during sessions. It is, therefore, essential that PE kits are brought into school at the beginning of term and then left in school. Your child will be given a consequence if kits are forgotten more than once.
Snack
Children are welcome to bring a snack from home each day. This will need to be an appropriate, healthy snack that will provide your child with the energy to get them through to lunch. Free fruit is available most days. Please try to avoid nuts where possible.
If you have any questions
If you have any queries, questions or concerns, please speak to a member of staff at the beginning or end of the day or contact us via email. It is often easier for teachers to talk with you at the end of the day. Mrs. Brewin will be available at the end of every day, with the exception of Tuesday, to discuss any concerns.
