Welcome to Year 4
Welcome back after the Christmas break - we hope you all had an enjoyable and restful two weeks off!
Your teachers for Spring and Summer term are: Mrs Taylor, Miss Lucas and Mrs Ghorbanian.
Our Learning
We want to ensure that your child reaches their full potential - emotionally, socially and academically - and we feel that this is best achieved when we work alongside parents and carers. School Opening Times
The doors to school are open from 8:45am and collection time for children in Year 4 is 3:30pm from the double doors onto the main playground. Breakfast club begins at 7:30am and after school club ends at 5:50pm. Please let the office know if you would like your child to attend an after-school club.
PE
Our PE days this year are Monday and Thursday. Children MUST keep their full P.E kit in school - if it is brought home to be washed at the end of the week, please ensure it is returned for the following week. P.E. is a vital part of the curriculum and all pupils are expected to participate with full kit. PE kits should include an Ash Grove T-shirt or plain white T-shirt with black, navy blue or dark grey shorts/jogging bottoms and a pair of trainers. It is also useful to pack a plain hoodie for colder weather.
Homework
It is essential that the children practise core skills, both in and out of school. Please see the tabs to the right for these skills and a range of resources and activities to develop them.
